Yorkshire Lawn & Garden is an independent matching service. We connect homeowners with self-employed local gardeners and garden businesses across Yorkshire. We are not a gardening contractor, we do not employ gardeners, and we do not carry out the work ourselves.
Prices shown on this site, including hourly rates, price ranges and worked examples, are indicative guidance based on typical Yorkshire gardening rates. The final price is agreed between you and the gardener directly, after they have assessed the job. Nothing on this site is a binding quote unless it is confirmed to you for your specific job.
Any contract for gardening work is between you and the gardener, not between you and Yorkshire Lawn & Garden. In the current direct-payment model, you pay the gardener directly unless a specific quote or payment page says otherwise. If a platform payment page is introduced for a job, any extra payment terms shown there will apply to that payment.
We take reasonable care to match you with a suitable operator for your postcode and the work you describe. As part of operator onboarding, we may ask for relevant insurance, licence details, reviews, references or examples of work. You should still confirm any important insurance, licence or specialist qualification directly with the gardener before booking, especially for tree surgery, waste removal, chemical treatment, hard landscaping or higher-value work. We are not responsible for the quality, timeliness or outcome of the work itself. If something goes wrong, please raise it with the gardener first. If you cannot resolve it directly, email yorkshirelawn@gmail.com and we will try to help.
Cancellation terms should be agreed with the gardener before work starts. Where you have paid the gardener directly, any refund is handled between you and the gardener. If we have helped coordinate the job, we may help pass messages, record the issue, or offer a replacement introduction, but we cannot guarantee a refund or a particular outcome.
We make reasonable efforts to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but we do not guarantee that it is free from errors. Town pages, price guides, and FAQs are offered for general guidance.
You may use this site to request a quote for genuine gardening work at a property in Yorkshire. Please don’t submit false details, scrape the site, or use the form for anything other than requesting a quote.
