Yorkshire Lawn & Garden ("we", "us") is an independent matching service that connects homeowners in Yorkshire with self-employed local gardeners. You can contact us at yorkshirelawn@gmail.com.
When you submit the assessment form, we collect the information you provide: your name, postcode, phone number, email address if provided, service type, garden size, access notes, timing, scope, photos if the upload feature is enabled, and anything else you write in the notes field. We also record operational details such as submission time, source page, consent preferences, postcode lookup result, and limited technical information used for fraud, duplicate-submit and abuse prevention. IP addresses may be hashed before storage where we only need a repeat-submission signal.
We use your information to respond to your enquiry, match your request to an operator who covers the postcode and service type, send service updates, support quoting and scheduling, check whether the job was handled properly, prevent spam or misuse, and deal with support issues, complaints or disputes. We share relevant job and contact details with the operator matched to your request. We do not sell your data.
Form submissions may be processed by Web3Forms, which delivers a copy to our inbox. Our operator platform runs on Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2. We may use Postmark for service email, Twilio for SMS notifications, postcodes.io for postcode lookup, and Google Workspace or Gmail for inbox handling. These providers process data only so the service can operate.
We do not add quote requests to a general marketing list. If the form records that you do not want marketing or non-service follow-up, we store that preference and use it to avoid contacting you for that purpose. We may still contact you about the request you submitted.
We keep lead, job, message and support records only for as long as we reasonably need them to run the service, handle follow-up questions, prove what happened, improve matching quality, or deal with complaints and legal obligations. That is usually up to 24 months, although some operational audit records may be kept longer in a minimised form. You can ask us to delete your data by emailing yorkshirelawn@gmail.com.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you think we’ve handled your data incorrectly. Contact us first at yorkshirelawn@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
